Sounds reasonable, but where is the evidence? I don’t see any quotes by officials or references to government statements in the article.
The Canadian study linked to in the article supports the premise. The next link from the NIH recommends restrictions. It also suggests that a probable reason that states have deemed liquor stores essential is the revenue. That was my assumption here in Virginia, where all liquor stores are state owned.
There is nothing wrong with the author making reasonable conjecture, but don’t pretend that it is fact.
