I used this logic to convince my wife to spring for a new Volvo with Autopilot. Not as self driving as a Tesla, but almost.
It has saved me several times from highway collisions (hitting the breaks before I could react to every car ahead suddenly stopping). Also preventing me from backing out of a blind parking spot when someone is barreling past me.
Hard to put a price tag on that.
