I spent 25 years living the country life, surrounded by cows, goats and the occasional Confederate flag. The thing that struck me most is how was little people traveled. They often never went more than 20 miles from home.
One change I noticed in those 25 years is this: in the beginning all of their worldly knowledge came from the local newspaper. Now it comes from Fox News and Breitbart.
