I have not participated in any debates as such, but one thing seems obvious to me. If you are just posting on Instagram or Facebook (I don’t) , then you are wasting your time with raw files. But if you’re making a 12 by 18 print or larger, raw is the best way to fine tune the quality.

Maybe I’m just an amateur hack (I am), but I can’t see the advantage of ignoring the additional information and forgiving nature raw files provide. I suppose I could spend more time developing my SOOC skills, so that I could have bragging rights. Naah…
